Short answer. An autonomous AI-run organisation is a company where repetitive work is done by AI employees: each role has its own procedure and area of responsibility, and a coordinator hands out tasks from a shared queue and keeps track of deadlines. Decisions about money, contracts and disputes stay with a person. At OM-Digital, launching one turnkey role starts at ₽37,000, a full staff of eight roles at ₽235,000 in 30 days (price list as of 30.09.2026).
What an autonomous organisation consists of
Five elements make the system work. Remove any one of them and you get a set of scattered bots instead of an organisation.
- Roles. Handling enquiries, preparing standard documents, reporting, finding clients, quality control: each role has its own area.
- Procedures. The working document of a role — what it does, which questions it passes to a person, who it hands the result to and what counts as a finished task.
- A shared task queue. Every assignment lands in one place, so work moves from role to role without retelling.
- A coordinator. Assigns the performer, watches the deadline and raises the alarm if a role stalls.
- A log and a daily report. Every action is recorded, and in the evening the owner receives a summary: what was done, what went to a person, where something failed.
How this differs from a chatbot and access to a neural network
The most common «AI rollout» looks like this: employees get access to a neural network and are asked to use it. The result depends on how each person phrases the request. An autonomous organisation works the other way round: first the role and its rules are described, and only then a model is connected to it.
| Criterion | Chatbot | Neural network for employees | Autonomous organisation |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it does | Answers by script in one channel | Helps those who know how to set a task | Covers areas of work according to procedures |
| What the result depends on | The script | The skill of a particular person | The written rules of the role, so it is reproducible |
| Who distributes tasks | The client with their question | Everyone for themselves | The coordinator from the shared queue |
| The person's role | Handles what the bot passed on | Does the work with hints | Decides on money, contracts and disputes |
In short: a chatbot is one tool. An autonomous organisation is a structure of roles, each with its own area and its own control.
Why the format is being discussed right now
In its forecast of strategic technology trends for 2025 (press release of 21.10.2024), Gartner expects that by 2028 at least 15% of day-to-day work decisions will be made autonomously through agentic AI. In 2024 that share was zero.
In Russia, 71% of large companies use generative AI in at least one function, and 78% already get an economic effect from it. These are the findings of the study «Artificial Intelligence in Russia — 2025: trends and outlook» by Yakov and Partners and Yandex (published 08.12.2025, 150 technology directors from 16 industries surveyed). In the same study, companies said they would increase investment in generative AI by 25% on average in 2026.
Large businesses build such systems with their own IT departments. The «turnkey staff of AI employees» format makes the same thing available to small and medium businesses — without an in-house development team.
Which tasks go to AI roles first
Work that repeats almost unchanged fits best:
- replying to a client's first enquiry at any time of day;
- reminding a client who went quiet after getting a price;
- assembling a standard document — an invoice, a template contract, a commercial proposal;
- compiling the daily report from spreadsheets and correspondence;
- checking the result against a checklist before it goes to the client.
In the companies where OM-Digital analysed processes, such work took 20 to 30 hours a week — more than half of one employee's time. To start, two roles with the fastest effect are chosen. Usually these are handling enquiries and bringing back forgotten clients.
What a launch costs: OM-Digital prices
| Work | Price as of 30.09.2026 |
|---|---|
| Process analysis and staff structure design | from ₽25,000 |
| Procedure for one AI employee role | from ₽12,000 |
| Launching one turnkey role: procedure, setup, trial run | from ₽37,000 |
| A full turnkey staff of 8 roles in 30 days | from ₽235,000 |
| Reworking the procedures of a system already in operation | from ₽15,000 |
The «from» price corresponds to a typical scope. We name the exact amount after analysing the processes, before work starts, and it changes only with the client's consent. The full price list is on the Prices page.
How the 30-day rollout goes
- Process analysis: what is done every day, what it costs in hours, where enquiries get lost.
- Staff design: which roles your company needs and where their boundaries are.
- Procedures and setup. By day ten the first two roles are usually working.
- The remaining roles are connected in waves so the team has time to adjust.
- Two weeks of adjustments on real tasks. This is where the system becomes precise, so it is always part of the work.
- Handover: documentation, training for your employee and the right to change procedures yourself.
After handover the system belongs to the client and runs on the client's accounts and infrastructure.
Where the limits are
AI roles take on the routine and keep the pace around the clock, weekends included. Discounts, contracts, disputes and strategy are passed to the owner — this rule is written into the procedure from day one and protects the business. On the company side, one person who makes decisions and knows the processes is enough.
Will an autonomous organisation replace employees?
It takes over repetitive work, while people stay where decisions and live contact are needed. Employees free up hours for the tasks they were hired for.
How long does a launch take?
The basic rollout takes 30 days. The first two roles usually work by day ten, the rest are connected in waves.
What if a role makes a mistake in a conversation with a client?
Limits are set in advance: the role quotes prices only from the price list and passes deadlines and disputed cases to a person. Before sending, a separate role checks the result against a checklist, and every action is logged.
Can we start with one role?
Yes. Launching one turnkey role starts at ₽37,000 — a convenient way to test the format on your own tasks before a full staff.
Is technical knowledge required?
One person who knows the company's processes and makes decisions is enough. The contractor handles setup and model connection and at the end shows how to edit the procedures yourself.
