Short answer. In 2026 a single-page landing costs roughly 15 000–40 000 ₽, a 5–7 page brochure site 20 000–60 000 ₽, a corporate site 60 000–200 000 ₽, and an online store starts at 80 000 ₽ and goes up depending on the catalogue and payments. Timing runs from three days for a simple landing page to a month and a half or two for a store.
What follows is the point of this article: where a tenfold difference inside the same word “website” comes from, and which parts of that quote you can safely cut — and which will cost you more later.
Price ranges by type of site
| Type of site | Term | Market range | When this is enough |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page (single page) | 3–7 days | 15 000 – 40 000 ₽ | One service or one product; the job is enquiries and calls |
| Brochure site (5–7 pages) | 5–14 days | 20 000 – 60 000 ₽ | A specialist or a small company: services, prices, contacts, credibility |
| Corporate site | 3–6 weeks | 60 000 – 200 000 ₽ | Several business lines, a blog, vacancies, documents, many landing pages |
| Online store | 4–8 weeks | from 80 000 ₽ | Catalogue, cart, payments, stock sync |
| Improving an existing site | 1–10 days | from ₽3,000 (≈ $36) | The site exists; it needs fixes, new sections, speed, a mobile layout |
The ranges are market-wide and deliberately broad. An exact figure appears only once the pages, the features and the source of the content are known — more on that below.
Five things that move the quote
1. Number of pages and unique templates
What gets counted is not pages but page types . A catalogue of 300 products is one product-card template, not 300 jobs. The home page, a service page, the blog and an enquiry form, though, are four different layouts, and each has to be designed, built and checked on a phone.
2. Design: a ready-made template or your own
A template saves 10 to 30 thousand and a week of time. What you pay for it is that a hundred other companies have exactly the same site. A custom design makes sense where the site is the face of the business and you compete on how you look. In a niche where price and speed of reply decide, a template is the sensible choice.
3. Features
A contact form is almost always included. Beyond that, every feature adds to the quote: online payments, a customer account, a calculator, integration with CRM or 1C, several languages, catalogue filters. A useful rule: if you cannot explain in one sentence what a feature does for the customer, leave it out of the first launch.
4. Content
The most underestimated line. Texts, photographs, service descriptions — if they do not exist, someone has to write and shoot them, and that is separate work. This is where sites stall most often: the build was finished a week ago and the launch is waiting for the client's texts.
5. SEO groundwork
This is not about promotion but about the site being able to take part in search at all: unique page titles and descriptions, readable URLs, structured data, a sitemap, loading speed, a correct mobile version. Building this in from the start costs next to nothing. Retrofitting it later sometimes costs more than the site did.
Website builder or custom code
| Website builder (Tilda and similar) | Custom code | |
|---|---|---|
| Launch | 2–5 days | from 1 week |
| One-off price | lower | higher |
| Ongoing payments | a subscription every year | hosting and domain only |
| Loading speed | average, extra platform code | entirely in your hands |
| Non-standard features | limited by what the platform allows | almost no limits |
| Moving elsewhere | code export, often with losses | files are simply copied |
A simple rule: if you need the site quickly and its job is to explain and collect enquiries, a builder covers it. If the site is a working tool that will grow, integrate and be promoted for years, custom code pays for itself in two or three years on subscriptions alone.
False economies
- On the mobile version. More than half of all visits come from a phone. A site that “looks fine on a computer” loses that half.
- On speed. Heavy uncompressed photographs are the most common cause of slow loading. It takes an hour to fix and costs you search positions and enquiries.
- On the texts. “We are a dynamically developing company” sells nothing. Specifics — what you do, for how much, in what time — sell.
- On leaving the domain and hosting in someone else's hands. The domain must be registered to you. Otherwise one day the site turns out not to be yours.
- On access credentials. After handover you should hold the logins for hosting, the domain and the admin panel. Without them every edit goes through that one contractor.
How to tell a transparent quote
Ask for the price broken down by line: design, build, programming, content, SEO groundwork, launch. A transparent quote breaks down easily. If what comes back is a single figure for a “turnkey website” with no breakdown, you can neither compare offers nor work out what happens when you want to add a page.
The one question worth asking before you pay: what exactly do I receive on handover day — files, credentials, the domain? The answer tells you more about a contractor than a portfolio does.
How we quote
We name a price after a short conversation about the task: how many pages, which features, who supplies the texts and photos. After that the quote and the deadline are fixed, with no surcharges appearing along the way. We work in writing, from a brief; calls are not needed. Current prices and scope are on the page for website development and SEO.
What is the cheapest usable website?
A single-page landing starts at 15 000 ₽ and three days of work. It is a real option for one service or one product: an offer screen, benefits, testimonials, an enquiry form.
Why does one developer ask 20 thousand and another 150?
Almost always those figures cover different amounts of work. The first is a template with your texts; the second is a custom design, several page types, features and written content. What you compare should be the lines of the quote, not the totals.
Do I have to pay for a website every month?
Not for the site itself, if it runs on its own code. The recurring costs are the domain (roughly 200–1 500 ₽ a year) and hosting (from 150–400 ₽ a month). With builders, the platform subscription is added on top.
What do I need to prepare before work starts?
A list of services with prices, contact details, examples of your work or photographs, text about the company. If none of that exists, say so straight away: writing texts and sourcing images go into the quote as a separate line, and the schedule is counted with them included.
Will the site appear in search straight away?
Not straight away. After launch the site is submitted to Yandex.Webmaster and Google Search Console, and indexing takes from a few days to a couple of weeks. Positions on competitive queries are promotion — separate work over several months.
