AI assistant for electricians: enquiries, estimates, material take-offs and completion records

The work on site stays yours. The assistant takes what gets done in the van and in the evening: sorting enquiries, an estimate from standard line items, the cable and breaker take-off, the call-out calendar, the completion record and a note for the customer.

AI assistant for an electrician: estimates, job requests and load calculations
An estimate, a job request and a load calculation are the paperwork around the job, not the job.

What it does

What it does not do

The limits are set in advance

How much time it frees up

By our reviews, an electrician spends roughly 9 hours a week on the routine listed above — more than a third of the working week. The assistant does not take all of it: some tasks you will still be checking. But checking something finished is faster than doing it from scratch, and the gain lies in exactly that difference.

How it works

The assistant lives on your phone and works by voice or short messages — there are no complicated programs to log into. It counts, records and reminds while you get on with the job you were called in for.

How the assistant handles an electrician's tasks

An enquiry with a clear scope

"We need the electrics done in a flat" is not an enquiry, it is the start of a half-hour conversation. The assistant asks the customer your questions: floor area, number of rooms, new build or replacement, how many points, is there a plan, when is it needed. It asks for a photo of the consumer unit. You get a card with answers and photos, and in two minutes you know whether to go and look and roughly what price to name.

An estimate from standard line items in ten minutes

From the customer's answers the assistant builds an estimate from your price list: socket, switch, lighting point, metre of chasing, consumer unit assembly, hob connection. With your multipliers for concrete and ceiling height. You look, correct two or three lines — and the customer gets a document with a total instead of "about forty thousand or so".

A material take-off from cable runs and points

The estimate is ready — now a shopping list is needed. The assistant calculates from run lengths and the number of points: cable by cross-section with a margin, conduit, back boxes, breakers and RCDs by circuit, terminals, junction boxes. The list in your format, with prices from the last purchase if you keep them. No second trip for ten back boxes.

A call-out calendar and customer reminders

The assistant keeps the schedule: surveys, work by day, who is on which site. The customer gets a reminder the day before with the time and a request to provide access and switch off appliances. If the customer reschedules, the assistant offers a free day by your rules rather than squeezing it in anywhere.

A completion record and a note on safe use

The job is handed over — a completion record is needed to get the balance. The assistant prepares it from the estimate with actual quantities, plus a note for the customer: which circuit does what, what to do if a breaker trips, when to call an electrician. The customer gets the documents the same evening, not a week after a reminder.

What the dialogue looks like

You: New enquiry from the classifieds: two-bed flat in a new build, full rewire. Collect the details and prepare a preliminary estimate.

Assistant: The customer replied: 54 m², concrete, there is a plan, 38 points, a 24-module consumer unit, deadline end of October. Preliminary estimate from your price list — ₽96,400 labour, materials separate. Photo of the unit attached.

You: Add the 1.15 multiplier for concrete and calculate the materials.

Assistant: Labour — ₽110,900. Materials: 3×2.5 cable — 180 m, 3×1.5 — 140 m, 3×6 — 15 m, 12 breakers, 3 RCDs, 38 back boxes — the list with last-purchase prices is ready. Send the estimate to the customer now or after the survey?

What we need from you at the start

Implementation timeline

The first conversation — how many enquiries a week, how many reach an estimate and where you lose customers. Setting up for your prices and rules — three to four days. A week of working in parallel: the assistant prepares estimates and lists, you compare with what you would have calculated. Usually from the second week the differences fit in two or three lines.

Frequently asked questions

Is the assistant's estimate the final price for the customer?
No, it is a preliminary calculation from your price list and the customer's answers. You confirm the final amount after the survey, and the assistant tells the customer exactly that.
Does the assistant know the wiring regulations?
It calculates by your rules and standards set at the start and checks the calculation for typical mistakes. It does not issue electrical safety opinions or obtain regulatory approvals — that stays with the specialist.
Does it suit a crew of three?
Yes. One assistant keeps the shared calendar and enquiries, and prepares estimates and records on behalf of the foreman. Everyone can see who is on which site.
What does it cost and what do I pay for later?
Task review and configuration of one assistant — from ₽12,000 (≈ $142), usually 5–7 days. Then support from ₽4,000 (≈ $47) a month if you need changes and new scenarios; without support the assistant keeps working.
